Globally, health authorities are closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. While close to 56,000 people have been reported to recover, at least 3400 people have perished and the human losses are rapidly rising.
