Dr. Fabio Ynoe de Moraes holds the position of Associate Professor and Clinical Investigator inRadiation Oncology, Global Oncology, and Innovation at Queen’s University and KingstonHealth Sciences Centre, located in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Moraes received his medical educationand training in Radiation Oncology at Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo, Brazil. His professional journey includes substantial experience at the University of São Paulo and Hospital Sírio-Libanês.
In 2016, Dr. Moraes relocated to Toronto, Canada, where he completed a three-year clinical-research fellowship at the prestigious Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, affiliated with theUniversity of Toronto. Prior to his current appointment at Queen’s University, Dr. Moraes wasinvolved in advanced clinical and research endeavors at institutions including Hospital Sírio-Libanês, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre.Dr. Moraes is an important contributor to the field of oncology, with over 135 peer-reviewedpublications His work has been featured in esteemed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Oncology, Nature, and JAMA Oncology, among others.
In 2021, Dr. Moraes achieved a significant milestone in his academic career, earning a PhD inHealth Sciences with a focus on Applied Oncology from the Research Institute at Hospital Sírio-Libanês. He further augmented his expertise by completing a postgraduate degree in ArtificialIntelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Texas. In 2022, he achieved anotheracademic accomplishment by completing his MBA.
In addition to his academic and clinical pursuits, Dr. Moraes has demonstrated entrepreneurialacumen as the co-founder of LuminaMD, a platform striving to redefine online learning, andVerus, a company leveraging artificial intelligence for medical billing. He also held previousadvisory and teaching appointments on innovation and technological advancements inHealthcare.
